The Menzies Centre for Health Policy promotes and informs public debate on health policy to assist Australia in establishing health care priorities. In doing so, it offers a major event program consisting of:
Evening seminars
Conferences
Invitation only debates
Public lectures
The Centre has developed and sustained an important constituency of influential people in the health system that have a commitment to the concept of an independent forum of health policy debate, and regularly attend the events. Attendees are influential in their own circles, and carry the debate into their own communities. The high level and consistency of the Centre’s constituency provides evidence of the value of and need for ongoing policy debate.
