Australia’s Health Workforce

In 2005 the Australian Government asked the Productivity Commission to examine issues impacting on the health workforce including the supply of, and demand for, health workforce professionals and propose solutions to ensure the continued delivery of quality healthcare over the next 10 years.

The Productivity Commission invited comment in the form of written submissions.  A copy of the Australian Health Policy Institute’s submission is available at http://www.pc.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0009/9756/sub022.pdf

A copy of the Productivity Commission’s final report, Australia's Health Workforce, is available at http://www.pc.gov.au/projects/study/healthworkforce/docs/finalreport
