Dr Jenny Jobling, Senior Research Fellow (Sustainability), The Diabetes Unit

Jenny joined The Diabetes Unit as a part time researcher in September 2009. She is also an adjunct Associate Professor with the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources at the University of Sydney.
Jenny has many years experience in postharvest horticultural research. Her career has focused on improving the postharvest quality and reducing the wastage of fresh fruit and vegetables. Jenny has worked with a range of clients from growers to fruit and vegetable retailers and her research effort has ranged from fundamental physiology to applied research and to developing and delivering training material for growers and fruit and vegetable store managers. Jenny has published many papers in the area of postharvest physiology and handling as well as two book chapters. Jenny’s research collaboration with The Diabetes Unit aims to investigate ways in which fruit and vegetables are more readily available for consumers.
